Kagame Receives Benin’s President Wadagni in Kigali
President Paul Kagame received Benin’s President Romuald Wadagni and his delegation at Urugwiro Village in Kigali on Wednesday, 16 September, opening a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries through high-level talks.
The two leaders began the visit with a private tête-à-tête meeting before holding further engagements involving their delegations.
President Wadagni is expected to remain in Rwanda until Thursday, 17 September. Full details of the visit’s programme and the specific agreements under discussion had not been publicly released at the time of publication.
The visit follows continued diplomatic engagement between Rwanda and Benin and provides an opportunity for the two governments to discuss bilateral cooperation and matters of shared interest.
